Outreach Support Minister

This is a part-time position (12-15 hrs/wk). Central Mission Center is seeking an Outreach Minister to serve with our volunteers in Northwest Independence. Primary responsibilities are continuing an after-school Jesus and Me program and the weekly evening table fellowship. This position has lots of opportunities for creativity and growth through our community connections. Priesthood and the ability to be a Registered Youth Worker are required. Youth Minister

Dynamic Youth Minister for Gudgell Park Congregation. This is a part-time position responsible for directing and implementing youth programming which includes Neighborhood Hangout Program. Executive Director for Lake Doniphan

Lake Doniphan Conference & Retreat Center is looking for a talented, motivated and detail-oriented individual to oversee the management of our 300-acre facility located at the northeast edge of the Kansas City Metropolitan Area in western Missouri. The qualified individual for this position will have at least eight to ten years of successful and progressive management experience in an institution (school, health care facility, etc.), camp, resort or retreat center environment. Related Bachelor’s Degree required.

Food Service & Hospitality Manager for Lake Doniphan

Lake Doniphan Conference & Retreat Center is looking for a talented, motivated and detail-oriented individual to oversee the Food Service & Hospitality Management of our 300-acre facility located at the northeast edge of the Kansas City Metropolitan Area in western Missouri. The qualified individual for this position will have at least five years of food management experience in an institution (school, health care facility, etc.), camp, resort or retreat center environment. Related Bachelor’s Degree required.

Facilities & Grounds Maintenance Manager for Lake Doniphan

Lake Doniphan Conference & Retreat Center is looking for a talented, motivated and detail-oriented individual to oversee the Facilities and Grounds Maintenance function of our 300-acre facility located at the northeast edge of the Kansas City Metropolitan Area in western Missouri. The qualified individual for this position will have at least five years of facilities and grounds maintenance management experience in an institution (school, health care facility, etc.), camp, resort or retreat center environment. Related Bachelor’s Degree required.

2019 World Conference Worship Support

Temporary staff assistant to support office functions and work overload caused by World Conference worship responsibilities. Temporary full-time position. The position will run January through April, 2019. Applications accepted until the position is filled.

Director of Finance

Serves as Director of Finance for all Community of Christ world church finances. Responsible for accounting, treasury management, internal controls, tax reporting, and the audit process and reporting. Supports the Presiding Bishopric in developing and maintaining the strategic financial plan of the church (development, analysis, forecasting, and reporting). Requires independent decision-making and problem-solving skills for routine tasks as well as for non-routine and crisis tasks related specifically to the church’s financial health. Requires collaborative decision-making skills and an ability to identify and liaise well with appropriate stake-holders on broader topics where finance is just a portion of the conversation. This position includes tasks that are high in complexity with some customer service interaction.

New Expressions Formation Leader

The Formation Leader will work with field leaders and volunteers in developing and implementing a new expression of community and mission at the Temple in Independence, MO, USA. This includes: 1) experimenting with new language, form, and expression of Christ-centered community in order to reach new people, especially young adults, the unchurched, and those who describe themselves as "spiritual but not religious;" 2) exploring opportunities for spiritual formation and compassionate ministry and action focused on peace, reconciliation, and healing of the spirit that meet diverse needs; 3) developing and implementing practices of invitation and generosity that support the new expression and worldwide mission; 4) participating in feedback, communication, and collaboration with other mission expansion and new expression teams and ministers. Required to be Ordained Community of Christ Aaronic Priest or Melchesidic priesthood office.
